Position Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor, Business Management (Teaching Stream - Continuing)

Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario (Onsite)

Department: Master of Management


Description:

The University of Niagara Falls invites applications for various graduate-level positions as Assistant/Associate Professors in the Business Management discipline, such as Strategic Management, Project Management, Marketing Management, Emerging Technology & Business Management, Organizational Behaviour, Finance Management, and Entrepreneurship. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in an appropriate Business Management or related field by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. The selected candidate will develop and deliver courses and seminars to students in the Business Management Program. The successful candidate will be crucial in shaping the Business Management curriculum and delivering high-quality education across various courses.


A proven track record of excellence in teaching and a strong portfolio specializing in Strategic Management, Project Management, Marketing Management, Emerging Technology & Business Management, Organizational Behaviour, Finance Management, or Entrepreneurship will be a distinct advantage.

We are highly interested in candidates in business management or a similar field with experience in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, causal inference empirical research, or analytical modelling.

Experience as an Academic Advisor or Program Coordinator, supervision of student research work and capstone courses at the graduate level, certification in adult education, and a track record of scholarly activity in the business management fields are all advantageous.

Expertise in course development and curriculum design in in-person, online, and hybrid modes is essential, with an understanding of the importance of ensuring alignment with academic standards and innovative teaching methodologies.

Oversight of all aspects of course delivery, including lectures, tutorial sections, and assessments, is expected. Collaboration with the academic team is vital for enhancing and updating the Business Management curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements.

Demonstration of a keen commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive, and engaging learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Monitoring student progress and implementing interventions as needed are integral components of the role. The candidate is expected to provide academic program guidance and support to students.

Engagement in scholarly activities, including applied research, scholarship, and publications, is expected.


The successful candidate will be required to stay current with developments in the Business Management field and continue professional development to keep abreast of different pedagogical practices and approaches. Service to the faculty and university is expected through active participation in departmental and institutional committees.
